Singu Chuli Peak Climbing TripCode: ABC-PC-015

Singu Chuli peak also known as Fluted Peak is the highest amongst the "Trekking Peaks" of Nepal. This peak is situated in the Annapurna Sanctuary adjoined to Tharpu Chuli and across Hiunchuli peaks. For this peak we walk up the Modi Khola gorge to the Annapurna Sanctuary. Base camp at around 4350m and then establish two higher camps, one at 4,900m at the approach of North East Face and a higher one at 5,500m. On the North East Face of the mountain before the summit is gained. A vertical wall near the summit fronts some technical challenge on this climb. This climb is suggested to only those with some alpine and ice climbing experience. This trek is strongly recommended for excellent mountain views. You will enjoy the great cultural diversity in the Ghandruk - Chomorong, Ghorepani. Before entering the Fish Tail (Machhapuchhre Base Camp) and Annapurna Base Camp, you can enjoy the panoramic views of the world's highest mountains. Trained guide is needed to climb these peaks. Otherwise peak permit is restricted. It is rule and regulation from Nepal Mountaineering Association.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Itinerary:

Day 01.

Kathmandu.

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

Day 02.

Kathmandu Sightseeing.

After breakfast at hotel start Kathmandu and Patan cities sightseeing with city tour guide. And rest of the day if for trekking packing and preparing. Over night stay at hotel.

Day 03.

Kathmandu to Pokhara (820 m) – 6 hours.

Morning you will be departure to Pokhara, which is 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu. As you are out of the Kathmandu valley you will follow along with the Trishuli River upstream to its junction with the Marsyangdi River. Pokhara is touristsÂ’ paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with mountain ranges. You can observe views to the north across the hill and Phewa Tal (lake) to the white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Arrive Pokhara and check in to the hotel. (You can also take the flight of half an hour to Pokhara from Kathmandu)

Day 04.

Pokhara to Nayapul (1050 m) toTikhedhunga (1577m) – 4 hours.

After breakfast, proceed to Nayapul by car which takes approximately one and half hour from where you can begin the trek to Tirkhedhunga (1577m) via Birethanti (1065m.) which takes about four to five hours. The first part of your trek is easy passing through numerous small villages and settlements; afterwards you could ascend gently to the final destination of the day. The villages consist of the majority of the local ethnic people so called Gurungs belonging to the Buddhist Religious, whose main occupancy is agricultural, tourism business and some are employed in Gorkha and Indian regiments. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 05.

Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2675 m) 6 to 7 hours.

After breakfast our trek begins toward the destination Ghorepani and it takes about six hours. You could ascend steeply for the early 2 hours and then ascend gently passing through Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti, Magar villages. On the way, you can see divine view of Machhapuchhare or fish tail (6997m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.) and Annapurna South (7219m.). Now your trail is quite easier passing through the blooming rhododendron and shadowy trees and descends gently up to the final camp. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 06.

Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3180 m) toTadapani (2675 m) 5 hours.

Early in the morning, we take a hiking of one and half hour to the top of the Poon Hill to view the sunrise over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak (6920m), Mt. Nilgiri (6940m), Mt.Varaha Shikhar (7847m) , Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna III (7855m), Mt. Fishtail (6993m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna II (7937m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and some other snow-capped mountains. After breakfast proceed to trek towards Tadapani. The trail goes steeply down through deep forests all the way to Banthati. Tadapani is the small village which is surrounded by beautiful forest which grants you a magnificent view of the Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Fishtail. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 07.

Tadapani to Ghandruk (1950 m) – 4 hours.

After breakfast, proceed towards Ghandruk which takes near about three hours and it is very easy trek by descending gently all the way through oak and rhododendron along with the birds chirping. This is one of the popular destinations for the birdsÂ’ lovers. Ghandruk is a big Gurung Village, from where you can see the perfect views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m), Annapurna III and Fishtail. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 08.

Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2040 m) 5 hours.

After breakfast, proceed towards Chhomrong which takes near about four hours crossing the Kimron Khola (1700m). Chhomrong is also known as the gateway towards Annapurna Sanctuary Trek which is major inhabited of Gurungs, one of the ethnic group of this area. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 09.

Chhomrong to Doban (2510 m) – 6 hours.

After breakfast, proceed towards Doban which take about five to six hours. Leaving Chhomrong, the trail descends on a stone staircase and cross the Chhomrong Khola on a swaying suspension bridge, following the west bank of the Modi Khola. Further climbing on a rocky trail you reach at Sinuwa (2340m). The way along with the bank of Modi Khola you will reach Doban via Khudi Ghar (2540m) and Bamboo (2340m). Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 10.

Doban to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700 m) – 5 to 6 hours.

After breakfast, proceed towards Machhapuchre Base Camp Passing through the muddy trails, this passes through high above the river and avalanches. You reach the Machhapuchre Base Camp via Hinko Cave (3160m) & Deurali (3230m). Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 11.

Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m) – Acclimatization.

This day is at Macchapuchhre Base Camp for rest and acclimatization.

Day 12.

Machhapuchre Base Camp to Glacier Camp (44330 m)-2 hours.

After breakfast start to trek towards CLACIER CAMP, and the path follow through the Ice Glacier. Great views of several peaks at 360 degree will be in front of you. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 13.

Glacier Camp to Singu Chuli (Fluted Peak) Base Camp (4,800m) – 4 to 5 hours.

Trekking trail leads to cross Annapurna glacier to follow the steep ascent trail all the way to SINGU CHULI Base Camp. On the way you can enjoy the panoramic views of Hiunchuli (6441 m), Annapurna South (7229 m), Annapurna I (8091 m), Fishtail Mountain, Barahashikhar Mountain and many others. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 14.

Singu Chuli (Fluted Peak) Base Camp – Acclimatization.

This is an acclimatization day for rest, excursion and preparation before to proximity of Singu Chuli.

Day 15.

Singu Chuli Base Camp to Singu Chuli High Camp (5,500m) – 4 hours.

The trail is rocky and covered by icy glacier. The views to be enjoyed are of Hiunchuli (6441m.), Annapurna South (7229m.), Annapurna I (8091m.), Fishtail Mountain, Barahashikhar Mountain and many others. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 16.

Singu Chuli (Fluted Peak) High Camp to Singu Chuli (Fluted Peak) Camp I (5,800 m) – 4 to 5 hours.

After breakfast start to climb following the extremely rocky Path covered by icy glacier. The gorgeous views of scatted mountains Peaks, in front of you are really spellbounded. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 17.

Singu Chuli Camp I to summit (6,501m) and back to Singu Chuli High Camp.

Early in the morning start to climb SINGU CHULI (Fluted Peak) and attempt Peak Summit. This under full job has to complete before SUN heat. On the top of SINGU CHULI (Fluted Peak) one can have closer panoramic view of Annapurna range, Chulu Far East, Nawal peak, Tilicho peak, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Mountains, Kang Guru Peak, Gyaji Kang peak, Tilje Peak, Kuchubhro peak and many more. After a short excursion and Photos Graphy, descend down to the SINGU CHULI (Fluted Peak) High Camp. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 18.

Singu Chuli (Fluted Peak) High Camp to Ten Peak Base Camp (4800 m) – 6 hours.

This descends trail towards the Ten Peak Base Camp. The views of great Himalayas are imagined and pleasure after completing the great job to climb SINGU CHULI. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 19.

Ten Peak Base Camp to Macchapucchre Base Camp (3700 m) - 5.5 to 6 hours.

After breakfast, trek from Ten Peak Base Camp to Macchapucchre Base Camp. You descend all the way to Annapurna Glacier and after crossing it the trail is gradual down all the way to Macchapucchre Base Camp. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 20.

Macchapucchre Base Camp to Bamboo (2340 m) – 4 to 5 hours.

After breakfast, trekking trail leads much easier going down all the way up to Bamboo. Over night stay at campsite and dinner will be served by camping kitchen. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 21.

Bamboo to Jhinudanda (1750 m) – 5 hours.

This trekking path passes through the verities of rhododendron, oaks and bamboo plants. After bamboo, the trail steeply up to the Khudighar and now the trail is quite flat till you reach Sinuwa. You will trek gradually descend to the Chhumrung Khola. The last part of the trail is steeply down to Jhinudanda. From the village you should walk down about 20 minutes to reach HOT SPRING at the bank of the Modi Khola. One can relax at hot spring. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 22.

Jhinudanda to Pothana (1600 m) – 6 hours.

After breakfast, trail is descent and passes through the flat land until you reach Himal Pani. Beautiful water falls numerous streams and terraces. After short trek you will be at Landruk a pretty big village inhabited by mixed community of GURUNG, MAGAR and Brahamins as well. Now the trail gently ascends TOLKA and the level Path to Bhedikharka. Now trail gently descends to POTHANA passing through different oak forests. POTHANA is a small village town reided by GURUNG an ethnic community of Nepal. You can enjoy the splendid views of various mountains peaks. Over night stay at trekkers lodge / camp and enjoy with delicious dinner.

Day 23.

Pothana to Dhampus Dhedi to Pokhara.

After breakfast, trek from pothana to Dhampus Phadi about 3 hours. The trail gently descent up to Dhampus, a village mainly inhabited by Gurung. Now you trek through flat land for some distance and steeply descent to Dhampus Phedi. You will meet your vehicle at Dhampus Phedi and drive to Pokhara. Overnight stay at Hotel in Pokhara.

Day 24.

Pokhara City Sightseeing.

After breakfast start Pokhara valley sightseeing including; Bindyabasani temple, Seti Gorge, Regional Museum, International mountain museum, DeviÂ’s fall, Gupteshwar cave. Over night stay at hotel.

Day 25.

Pokhara to Kathmandu.

After breakfast at Pokhara transfer to Tourist bus stand and departure to Kathmandu or any other destination as your program. Check in to the hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 26.

Departure.

After breakfast, transfer to international airport as your airport check in schedule or proceeds for further program.
